Andrea Lee was born on the 15th of August, 1997 in Los Angeles. James James began teaching Andrea Lee at the age of 5 how to play golf. She began competing at age 8 in competitions and won 50 junior titles within four years. The 2014 US Women's Open was her first tournament cut. Her dad was her caddie, she was only 15 at the time of this. Lee missed her chance to make her LPGA Tour cut at the 2015 ANA Inspiration by just one shot. Lee was a member of the USA at the Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup and Women's World Amateur Team Championship. The first female student at Stanford University, Lee was the Stanford player with the highest accolades in their past. In the three-year period that followed she had won numerous championships. Lee left Stanford University to turn pro in the year 2019. Her amateur career included 17 weeks in the top in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee has also been awarded the Mark H. McCormack Award for 2019, after completing the season at the top of the amateur rankings. Lee was a hole-in-one four times and one albatross as an amateur. The first time she played with the LPGA Tour saw her finish in two of the top 10. She was 7th at the AIG Women's Open in 2020 that was played on Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee's very first LPGA Tour victory came in 2022 Portland Classic. Lee devoted her victory to her late father Min Lee, stating that he called me a champ and believed in my ability. She added, "I was so grateful to him. And I know he's still watching." Her earlier competitions include the sport of soccer, taekwondo as well as figure skating. Lee loves films, bowling and ski.
