Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has received numerous awards for her writing and design. She advocates the rights of animals. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 1972 are among her most well-known films. New York was her home and she grew up in an artistic environment. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant before moving on to modeling and acting. The first two films she appeared in, she was recognized as a winner of her the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. MacGraw was a household name after the 1970 hit film Love Story. She was nominated for one of the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. After just three short films she was deemed one of the most successful women film in the history of box offices. In Grauman's Chinese Theater in the year 1972, she was able to have her handprints and signature engraved. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, along with other films. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography of hers, was released. MacGraw was divorced three times.
